In response to God’s call and becoming aware of the EMPD pathway, a potential EMPD missionary applies to the programme. The assessment process includes completing an application and interview with our MPD team to determine applicant readiness. If suitable, the missionary is directed to the next step. Applications are due by 1 October 2025.

Upon approval, the missionary completes a preliminary online training course. This four-week course prepares EMPD missionaries with a healthy paradigm for partnership development from a biblical perspective and practical standpoint.

From 21-30 January 2026, the applicant will attend the EMPD training in Edinburgh, Scotland, where the applicant will be formally enrolled in EMPD. This will mark the beginning of the 250-day process of building a partnership team. 

During this time, the EMPD missionary will meet regularly with their assigned MPD coach. They will have 250 days to complete their MPD team.

On approximately Day 55, the MPD missionary will attend an MPD refresher in person in Bathgate to revisit the core pillars of MPD and receive additional training.

Upon completing one’s partnership team, EMPD staff will begin the next session of European School of Ministry. Missionaries will be equipped in the biblical, theological and practical areas for effective ministry in Europe alongside beginning their ministry assignment on the field.
